Doc Hollywood
Stars Michael J. Fox as an aspiring Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, who literally crashes into the small town of Grady, while driving across the country. This big-city doc becomes the temporary saw-bones to the town's odd-ball citizens. A surefire prescription for comedy.

80's Classic! - anwallette
Michael J Fox is classic in this film. You see the evolution from hot shot plastic surgeon to a small town doctor. It is an interesting evolution to see his arrogance while helping "small town bumpkins" turn into humility.
He realizes that there is more to life than plastic surgery and superficial things. Doc Hollywood gets accepted into the town and finds love. He has to first realize and accept that superficial desires are not all that they are cracked up to be.An 80's Keeper - Duber
A feel good 80's flick that's worth watching over and over. One of my favourite Michael J Fox movies showing one how the right person can turn your whole life's plan upside down and point you in a new direction no matter how smart or rich you may be. Lots of good laughs and a plot that makes it easy to watch it again and again.Totally Rewatchable - Radio_Jane
This movie never did get the praise it deserved. It was very funny, with a well done story line and acting legends such as Francis Sternhagen (most recently as the Demanding mother in law in sex and the city) and David Ogden Steirs (Winchester from M*A*S*H) rounding out the cast. Their is some truly witty dialogue and Fox is great. this is a good date movie or guilty pleasure on rainy nites
