Electric Light Orchestra: Zoom Tour Live - zidane
This is a first ELO reunion concert. It includes almost all their major hits plus titles from the zoom album. The length of the concert is just right. Everyone in the band did a good job even though it is not as big as a group as before. They played tight together and is a good film to watch.A Treat for ELO Fans - bbould
A great mix of classic ELO and new tracks from Zoom with flawless audio and visual production. Jeff Lynne hasn't changed much (thankfully) and Rosie Vela's backing was an inspired choice. This concert recording was designed to kick off a Zoom tour but alas it never happened. Still, we have this great performance. It's not classic ELO, but if you like Jeff Lynne, you won't be disappointed.Very good DVD for all fans - Coconut_Willy
I had seen this particular show before as well as a few more from Electric Light Orchestra and this has to be my favorite one. Presenting a set of 24 songs, over half of them old hits, this has to be the ultimate live video anthology of Jeff Lynne's impressive career. The sound is great, the camera work is great and there is a somewhat intimate feel to the concert itself that I have not seen in other DVD's. Nothing overly flashy here, the spaceship stage being the only visual gimmick used; just a good band performing great tunes. Time seems to have humbled Jeff Lynne a bit as he doesn't appear as distant as during ELO's prime era but he simply owns the stage. He goes about his business effortlessly and gives an excellent vocal and musical performance. Even though this was filmed 15 years after the band's breakup, I believe this is the best ELO DVD one can get. Highly recommended.
