A lineup of best-loved Warner Bros. cartoon superstars joins a cast of Hollywood heavyweights for this warm celebration of one of the most creative talents in animation history. As engaging as the characters he creates and/or shepherded on the screen, Chuck Jones offers personal insights on his animated menagerie (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote and more) and timeless shorts like Duck Amuck, One Froggy Evening and What's Opera, Doc? It's a one-of-a-kind salute to the class act of cartoons.

Chuck Jones Who? - TheShamus
When I excitedly opened my ZIP.CA envelope to reveal, "Chuck Jones: Extremes and In Betweens", my wife asked me, "Who is Chuck Jones"?
I don't think Chuck Jones is a household name, but his work is definitely familiar to most North American households. Chuck Jones is a part of our social fabric. His characters like Wile E Coyote, Road Runner and Pepe Le Pew have endured for decades.
This DVD shows some early Chuck Jones work, but the DVD also left me wanting more. This DVD is more or less a tribute to Chuck Jones (not long before he passed away from Congestive Heart Failure). Steven Speilberg, Woopie Goldberg and many other celebrity, critics, and animators (notibly Matt Groenig of Simpsons fame) weigh in on why Chuck Jones' work is so great.
In short, this is more of a "fan" DVD. If you are looking for more depth about animation at Warner Brothers, other directors and producers, insight on animation or creating characters, there is not a lot of "depth" on those subjects.
There are some extras (samples of Jones'work) which is a nice additions to the DVD.
This DVD has enough to answer the quetion of who Chuck Jones is, but it might serve to whet your appetite for more.
