Father thinks of daughter as a little girl and now she is planning on getting married. Normal Fears of Dad are balanced with Mom's patience and advise. Martin Short is hysterical as the consummate Wedding Planner extraordinaire. He keeps you in stitches!I really like Steve Martin. - moviegenius
This is a really good movie. The humor is really crazy and funny. I like Steve Martin. His humore is just so surreal and you really feel sorry for his character when nothing goes right for him. One of the best parts, though was Martin Short as the wedding planner. His accent is perfect and the things he does are so funny. Most Dad's can relate to this movie. The protective love Dad's have for their little girls, as well as being the main man in their lives.
Steve Martin's performance was top notch and I am happy to say that the usually foul language, nudity, and other potty-wood content is left out.
There is strong family values, love, and commitment in this movie while still delievering big laughts. But...
All that being said, George (Steve Martin's character) is hen pecked, whimpy (at times), and also a bit of a whinner baby.
But in all and all it is a nice video for Dad to watch with his Daughter.
