I saw this movie in the theatre years ago when it was released. I just zipped it and it's still a great movie. Mark Wahlberg is a NUTCASE in this film. The scene where he starts punching himself OMG!!! He's so brooding and intense and he truly has that player-swagger quality that is very realistic in the movie. He's a smooth operator, an Alpha-Dog to say the least and he plays the part well. Reese Witherspoon was awesome in as well in her role as the her puppy-dog-love-struck innocent virgin and lets not forget Alyssa Milano who plays the skank so well... This move is still scary and still steamy. William Peterson also did a great job and was cute too :-)Sensational! - movie_goer
I'm in Love with Wahlberg after this film.
I understand what the BIG hype is, and i sure don't blame Reese Witherspoon for dating him either. He's HOT! Now that i got that off my chest, fear is incredibly riveting. It's heart pounding, quick twist and fast pace kept me wanting more. Well done for a low budget 90's film. I'm putting this movie on my christmas list and regarding it as a true gem.
