This movie is pretty good, I saw it a few months ago. I would recommend it for anyone who likes movies of this genre. Also, if you like movies from this star actor then you will like it for sure. Anytime I see their movies I feel like it's their best movie yet. Either their best or worst really, but this was probably their best until that most recent one they made. I think it's going to be a close one.. who knows.A poor excuse for family entertainment. - estefan
Some fairly good animation and nice voice-work aren't enough to save a poor script. The characters are largely one-dimensional, the message is not in the least bit subtle and the songs are weak and forgettable. Robin Williams does some solid voice work as the comic relief Batty and Tim Curry oozes evil as the villain. I also have to admire the background work here as well as the animation done when he faeries are flying. However, those few parts aren't enough to save a largely banal and life-less script.Funny and Thought Provoking - Radio_Jane
This would be a good movie to teach anyone about being environmentally friendly. Children and adults alike will get the message while being wildly entertained. The dialogue in this movie is cute, and Williams steals the show as a wisecracking bat recently escaped from the research lab.His lines are among the most memorable("Human tails? Humans dont have tails they have big big bottoms that they wear with bad shorts and they walk around going Hi Helen"). The bad guy in this movie is Hexxus, who appears to be the personification of pollution. Keep an ear open for a cameo by Cheech and Chong as well.
