Frogs
Today The Pond...Tomorrow The World!
"A shocker reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds" (Variety), this amphibious horror flick teeming with thousands of nasty-tempered creatures that are hopping mad -- and murderous. Jumping with action, suspense revenge and Southern Gothic charm, Frogs' stars Ray Milland, Sam Elliott and Joan Van Ark are constantly a lily away from croaking!
Joan Crockett (Milland) is an aging, physically disable millionaire who invites this family to his island estate for his birthday party. The old man is more than crotchety...he's crazy! Hating nature, Crockett poisons anything that crawls on his property. But on the night of his shindig, it's nature's payback time, as thousands of frogs whip up every bug and slimy thing into a toxic frenzy until the entire environment goes environ-mental.

Absolute Worst - DrifterMcGrifter
I rented this hoping for a so-bad-it's-funny kind of horror, but instead I just got a so-bad-it's-not-even-funny dud.
Zero attempt to make the plot work, bad acting, bad characters, bad way to spend 2 hours of your life.
**SPOILER ALERT**
The frogs don't even do anything... they just sit there and ribbit and people spontaneously die. Amazing this got produced. I might actually write MGM Grand and ask for some form of restitution.Unintentionally funny movie - Storm
I hate to admit it, but this turkey of a movie was actually a total delight to watch. Classic summer drive-in movie fare about frogs and other creepy-crawly creatures in a southern marshland finally holding up their slimy little paws and screaming “enough!” before rising up in a murderous rebellion against the poisoning of the environment by their human neighbours. I recommend you watch it with a bunch of friends for the ultimate comedy night. A very young Sam Elliott is delicious eye-candy - even factoring in the ‘70’s haircut and sideburns - and yet one still gets a hint of the dark, brooding intensity that would become his trademark. I’m still not sure what veteran actor Ray Milland was thinking when he agreed to this project; I’m guessing they either got him extremely drunk before signing the contracts or they blackmailed him into doing it somehow, but he is sadly out of place in this movie. The other actors all appear to have been carved out of lumps of wood, with the exception of Joan Van Ark, who did the best she could with the material she was handed.
You’ll have a lot of fun with this movie if you don’t take it seriously; it’s right up there with Plan 9 From Outer Space and Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes. Strangely it’s rated G, but might be a bit too intense for younger children.Classic '70s nature-gone-nuts movie - Coconut_Willy
I remember seeing this movie at the drive-in when it came out and I thought it was, at the time, pretty good. It was an obvious attempt at cashing in on the success of Willard but still, had its own originality. Looking at it today though, it's certainly not a very good movie. The storyline is probably even less developped than most movies of the same genre. It does have a very suprising cast doing as much acting as possible under the circumstances, very good sets and locations, interesting special effects (certainly not spectacular but appropriate) and good camera work. Overall, a well made film that obviously lacks a bit on the content side and that, with time, is not really scary anymore. I would recommend this to fans of the era as by today's standards, it's a pretty ordinary movie.
The transfer to DVD is of surprisingly good quality; good colors and definition with little visible damage.
