Geronimo: An American Legend
His Name Would Never Be Forgotten.
Gripping epic of the Apache warrior who sacrificed everything for his people. Stars Robert Duvall and Jason Patric.
Studi gives a stunning performance as the fearless warrior who was the last Indian leader to surrender to the white man. Betrayed by the Army's legendary "Indian fighter," General George Crook, Geronimo leads a small band of warriors in escape. Pursued by a principled officer, a grizzled Army scout, and a gung-ho West Point graduate, Geronimo evades capture through brilliant military strategy and cutthroat courage. His true story is both an action adventure and a spiritual journey through the heart of a warrior.

Justly depicted, the film shows that conflict is not as simple as black and white. We feel for the Apache and also see that the White-Eye are not all unfeeling. We see that Geronimo is not a ruthless Apache. He has a reason for brutely slaying the White-Eyes. Jason Patric, Matt Damon, Robert Duvall and Gene Hackman played their roles well.An American Legend - Riz140
A film of great beauty and considerable intelligence.
A gorgeously shot, fair-minded Western that honors Geronimo and the Apaches, but doesn't demonize the U.S. Cavalry. Vastly underrated and far superior to Dances With Wolves. Then there's that fabulous southern Utah landscape. It's great to see men and horses against that colorful backdrop once again.
