This is by far one of Angelina Jolies greatest role about a troubled girl. This movie kept me glued to my seat and I lived throught it. I cannot recommend it strongly enough. Not your typical movie. Definitly worth watching, if you are a Jolie fan, or even notGia - sticksr

Jolie does an excellent portrail of a high end fasion model who's career is derailed by her dependancy on the drugs that consume her life, and destroy her, and her career. A very moving portrayal of life in the fast lane.excellent depiction of a tortured life - Mercury
I was surprised by how well-done this movie was. The story of Gia was portrayed so delicately without departure from what might have been incredibly disturbing for a family left behind. That in itself made it entertaining and believable. Jolie's performance was nothing unexpected. Her co-star was phenomenal. Really loved the film and I am not even a Jolie fan.
