One of Lumet's Worst - xYJx
While Lumet has an acclaimed past of fantastic films (12 Angry Men, Dog Day Afternoon, Serpico, The Pawnbroker, etc etc), the film was behind the 8-ball before the cameras even got rolling. First, this is a remake of John Cassavetes classic. Secondly, the piss poor acting of Sharon Stone (for which she received a Razzie nomination for this Gloria role) et al didn't help. Then throw in a myriad of cliches and continuity errors and this makes for a tough watch. Stay away, because this won't do you any favors.
