Halloween
Fifteen years ago, Michael Myers brutally massacred his sister. Now, after escaping from a mental hospital, he’s back to relive his grisly crime again, and again...and again.
This is Halloween like you’ve never seen or heard it before!
Halloween has been fully restored under the supervision of Lucasfilm’s THX Digital Mastering Services. The video was transferred by the award-winning colorist Adam Adams (Terminator2, Titanic) from a new 35mm interpositive (mode from the original camera negative) and approved by the film’s cinematographer Dean Cundey (Jurassic Park, Who Framed Roger Rabbit). The new Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack was created by Chace Productions in association with Alan Howarth using the original 16-track music studio master and the recently discovered original 35mm magnetic dialogue & effects tracks.

It still scares the heck out of me - Coxswain
I saw this movie when it came out in 1978. I was 17 year old girl who scared easily and my boyfriend at the time was named Michael - go figure. Of course, the night I saw it, I had to walk home. Actually, I ran and slept with my light on, and even with my light on,I didn't sleep at all that night. I loved the movie. LOL. Even today at the age of 50 it is the best horror flick that I have ever watched. Micheal's masked face still gives me the creeps, but I have to watch it. My husband thinks I am nuts. Watching the movie when I was 17 scared me, watching the movie at 50 I appreciated more of the story, messages, direction, production and acting. It is a classic.Halloween - AppsScraps
Way back in 1978 director John Carpenter reinvented the slasher movie with ‘scream queen’ Jamie Lee Curtis starring as Laurie Strode. Donald Pleasence co-stars as Dr. Sam Loomis, the psychiatrist on a mission, searching in the town of Haddonfield, Illinois for his patient, the newly released Michael Myers, who 15 years earlier – as a 6 year old – murdered his sister. Halloween started the genre of the boogeyman-that-never-dies film and is as suspenseful today as ever. Carpenter’s iconic music only adds to the horror and despite its dreadful acting and low budget feel, continues to freak the hell out of any viewer. A perfect movie for Halloween.
My rating 8 out of 10.My favourite! - RavenSkies777
Halloween is one of the first horror movies I ever saw and it greatly impacted my love for the genre.
Halloween is one of the classics of our time, if not of all time. It strives at creating suspense and keeping the viewer on the edge of their seat. The simple music is spine chilling and Michael Myers is truly terrifying. It is very surprising how incredibly scary this movie can be with almost no blood at all. The "head tilt" thing that Michael Myers does from time to time haunts me forever.
