High Season
"Two thumbs up!" -Siskel & Ebert
Jacqueline Bisset (Dangerous Beauty) is "ravishing" (Los Angeles Times) opposite Oscar® nominee Kenneth Branagh in this "playfully exuberant farce" (N.Y. Daily News) that "glows with wit and warmth" (The Hollywood Reporter)!
It's summer on a breathtakingly beautiful Greek island, which can only mean one thing -- tourists. But as much as local photographer Katherine dreads the masses descending on her idyllic home, this year she has bigger problems. She's broke for starters; her best friend and mentor -- a British art expert -- may in fact be a Russian spy; her ex-husband is bedding leggy blonde tourists; and a shy Englishman on his second honeymoon is actually wooing her!

warm Greece in cool November - billie
It's so lovely to look at Greece on a cold Canadian November evening. It seems that no matter what the era, tourists and expats who live on Greek islands end up in a confusing mishmash of strange problems. This time it concerns a couple who have split over artistic differences, a dear friend who is a Russian spy, an expensive urn, a very young Kenneth Branagh, and Irene Pappas as a wonderful widow avenging her husband's honor upon her own son. It is all quite over the top, and could have been presented more excitingly, but I enjoyed it very much all the same.
