A high school youth sideshow - Porkchop
House Party 2 (1991) with Christopher Reid, is a high-school type
of movie, featuring the social aspects almost entirely, vs any
pretention of sophistication from anything else than hip hop radio
and street culture in all of its aspects (clothes, music, values,
behavior, social relations, etc.)
It focuses almost entirely on the African American section of New York, and the dolt, played by Reid, shows minimal acting skill that
is tedious ... made worse with a weird vertical hair cut, almost
like a high-hat ... taller than a bowler hat made up of his hair.
At the end of the day, this movie might fly as a grade 8 or 9
high school youth attraction, but anything outside of that, is
pure fantasy.
