I'm Gonna Git You Sucka
"A sure-fire winner!" -Daily Variety
A hilarious Soul Cinema send-up, this ultra-slick, urban action comedy blows 70's blaxploitation movies right out of the 'hood! Featuring the very funny Wayans family (Keenen, Damon and Kim), Bernie Casey, Antonio Fargas, Isaac Hayes, Jim Brown, Ja'net DuBois, David Alan Grier, Kadeem Hardison and Chris Rock, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka is a perfect "mixture of nostalgia, silliness and genuinely unpredictable humor" (The New York Times).
Jack Spade, a goody-goody war hero with medals for short-hand, returns to the ghetto to discover that his brother, Junebug, has OG'd (Over-Golded) on jewelry. Jack swears revenge against the local gang boss, Mr. Big, and sets off to enlist an army of Shaft, Superfly and Black Caesar -- look-a-likes, that is. They don't come easy, cheap -- or young -- but they do have nice clothes and enough firepower left in them to practically destroy Mr. Big's Big Brim Bar where the bad guys wear -- you guessed it -- big hats!

Hilarious "Blaxploitation" send-up - TheTooz
Great cast in a deliberately cheesy "Blaxploitation" satire aimed at the "Shaft" crowd. Dumb crime fighters and even dumber criminals poke fun at sterotypes of all ethnicities and fads back in the day. Chris Rock and Antonio Fargas (Huggy Bear in the original Starsky & Hutch TV series) have small but hilarious roles. Fargas's pimp outfit with live goldfish platforms is classic and Rock is simply killer in trying to place a rib order at a Greasy Spoon run by Isaac Hayes (Chef from South Park) and football great Jim Brown. The movie also pokes fun at Hayes' funky music fame and Brown as an ex-football hero. And that's what's great about it -- no one is safe from getting put on a spit and roasted. If you laughed at "White Chicks" (another Wayans family effort), then check out "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka" you dirty mutha... Hey watch your mouth! (Relax. It's from the title song -- and that's another nice thing about the film, it isn't "F" this and "F" that every two minutes. It's just plain "dumb" fun taking playful pokes at sterotypes across the board. Enjoy!I'm Da Sucka - newdaysof
It only took about three minutes into the movie before I realized that I was the sucka. The "script", if you could call it that, is terrible, the acting cheesy, the plot and storyline are stupid. For some reason, I was expecting a comedy, but I didn't laugh once.
I'm a fan of the 70's blacksploitation movies and was hoping for some black nostalgia, but was dissappointed. Instead I got lame-ass jokes, stupid characters, bad acting, awful directing. Even the soundtrack sucked. I fast-forwarded over some extremely boring and stupid sections hoping things would pick up, but it never got better. Even big-name actors like Chris Rock, Isaac Hayes and the Wayan brothers didn't make a difference. If you rent this movie, you'll be a sucka like me.70s Era Jokes - kav2001c
I'm Gonna Git You Sucka is a hilarious take on the 70s blaxploitation flicks IF you have seen some of the era flicks they are lampooning. If not most of the jokes are left for dead.
The humour is very dated, and there are some slow moments in this film. But still it is hilarious and well worth the rental.
