I'm With Lucy
Five handsome bachelors. One lucky woman.
Dumped by the man she thought was perfect for her, newly-single Lucy (Monica Potter, Along Came a Spider) continues her search for Mr. Right. Set up on a series of blind dates, she meets five handsome and eligible bachelors, each with his own charms...and flaws. There's the macho jerk (Anthony LaPaglia, Analyze That), the sexual dynamo (Gael Carcia Bernal, Y Tu Mama Tambien), the handsome surgeon (David Boreanaz, TVs Angel), the divorced writer (John Hannah, The Mummy Returns) and the uptight executive (Henry Thomas, All the Pretty Horses). Has she finally met the man of her dreams or will her dating nightmare never end?
I'm With Lucy is a charming and endearing romantic comedy in the tradition of Bridget Jones's Diary and Serendipity.

But I have to say, although it's not the worst movie I've ever seen, it is pretty close to the bottom of my list.
It's too bad really, because the cast is nice- I really like Monica Potter (she was great in Patch Adams) and John Hannah (such a cutie, and I'm a sucker for any English accent- and I've loved him in everything he's done, even here).
You can tell it could have been a great movie, but it just never gells- the script is poor and all over the place, the action too slow, the acting lukewarm at best.
After the first 45 minutes I'd had enough and I forwarded through much of the rest of the film.

Lucy has just broken up with her long time boyfriend. Over the next year she goes on 5 blind dates with 5 very different men. These dates are revealed to us in little pieces and time goes back and forth throughout the movie. About half way through it is revealed to us that Lucy is marrying one of the 5 men and we're left guessing, as the dates play out, which man it will be. There's no great writing or acting here but John Hannah is charming and it's a kick watching David Boreanaz ham it. Worth a look on a cold winter night.
