Implicated
A tale of crime and suspense
Implicated is a gripping tale of kidnapping, betrayal and murder in the tradition of Fargo and Ransom starring William McNamara (Copycat, Texasville) and Amy Locane (Prefontaine, TV's Melrose Place).
When Ann's (Locane) new boyfriend Tom (McNamara) asks her to baby-sit his boss's young daughter Katie, she is happy to help out. She lost her own daughter in an auto accident and quickly establishes a bond with the little child. But Ann's happiness is soon shattered when she realizes she and Katie are only pawns in Tom's elaborate kidnapping plot which spirals dangerously out of control. Nail-biting drama that will have you on the edge of your seat, Implicated features an outstanding supporting cast including Frederic Forrest, Priscilla Barnes, Richard Tyson, Amanda de Cadenet, Roger Clinton, and Phillip Baker Hall.

Did Anyone Read The Script? - c4th
After watching this mess of a movie, I had only one question. Did anyone read the script before getting involved in the project? The screenplay requires the audience to accept some unusual decisions, actions and reactions by the characters in order to carry the storyline through to its strange conclusion. It is extremely evident that neither the actors nor the director had a clear vision of how to pull this off. They could have saved us a lot of agony by walking away. The one dimensional character portrayals never stand a chance in a production where the director shows flagrant inattention to detail and offers little guidance to his actors.
One surprisingly good performance came from, of all people, Priscilla Barnes, who showed little potential as an actress during her two TV series The American Girls and Three's Company.
