Insomnia
"A perfect thriller!" -USA Today
Invited to Nightmute, Alaska, to head a murder case, veteran LAPD detective Will Dormer finds his investigation interrupted by an ever-shining midnight sun that wreaks sleep-depriving havoc on him- and by personal guilt over a second crime that may be real... or a figment of his increasingly unstable consciousness.
Director Christopher Nolan (Memento) crafts another jolting psychological thriller to remember, guiding Academy Award winners Al Pacino, Robin Williams, and Hilary Swank in Insomnia. In the season of the midnight sun, no one- and no secret -can hide forever.

Insomnia is a well-crafted movie that is really quite boring. - moviemonger
Pacino is on world-beating form and Williams delivers his best straight performance yet. Pacino delivers a typically intense performance. Robin Williams is great as a socially maladjusted villain who wasn't raised quite right. Detective Ellie Burr (Hilary Swank) is okay as Pacino's love interest. The filming is beautiful and the audience is definitely presented with a great view of small-town Alaska. Veteran LAPD detective Will Dormer (Pacino) and his partner Hap Eckhart (Donovan) travel to a remote town in Alaska to help the local cops investigate the murder of a teenage girl. But when a fog-bound bust goes fatally wrong, Dormer's guilt, coupled with the region's perpetual sunlight, gives him sleepless nights. I kept waiting for a twist and that didn't happen. While I definitely commend Director Christopher Nolan in following his heart in this regard, I can't say that the end result is anything spectacular. I recommend giving this film a miss.Great but under-appreciated - robbymcd
Insomnia is a great motion picture and one of my favorite from Christopher Nolan.
Robin Williams is my highlight here . He plays a great "creeper" as he did in the underrated One Hour Photo.
The story is great and I got a real Twin Peaks vibe while viewing it.Stunning Story with Twist - LilyandMick
This had great casts that would be difficult to play, but they were all great characters and fit into the story. This had a couple of twist and it was thrilling to watch how the story turns and progress. A great story with great casts, this is one of my top favorite movie.
