Jaws 2
Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...
The horror is far from over! Four years after the great white shark terrorized the small resort of Amity, unsuspecting vacationers begin disappearing in an all-too-familiar fashion. Only one man knows the truth.
Academy Award®-winning producer Richard D. Zanuck (Rules of Engagement, Deep Impact) brings the next installment of this frightening series with Roy Scheider reprising his role as Police Chief Brody.
Newly remastered, Jaws 2, contains exclusive behind-the-scenes footage with interviews and deleted scenes and continues to keep audiences out of the water.

As far as sequels go, “Jaws 2” isn’t all that bad. It was completely unnecessary to make, naturally, but given the amount of money the original raked in, Hollywood execs must have been sensing a sequel almost immediately. The only way to make the sequel work is for another killer shark to emerge in the Amity harbour—a silly notion, but it works nonetheless.
The sequel reunites the audience with police Chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) and his wife Ellen (Lorraine Gary), as well as Mayor Vaughn (Murray Hamilton) and Officer Hendricks (Jeffrey C. Kramer). Another shark has indeed resurfaced, and this time, Brody’s own sons are threatened when they go out sailing against his wishes and become stranded. We see a different Brody this time around: he’s far more paranoid, angry, and impatient as he tries to convince Vaughn and the other counsellors that another shark has indeed been preying on the people of Amity. His behaviour ultimately costs him his job. However, he knows a shark better than anyone else, and he intends to prove himself right and save the day...again.
“Jaws 2” could have been better: director Steven Spielberg did not return; nor did co-star Richard Dreyfuss from the original. However, John Williams is back with his famous score, and the storyline works well enough to still be engaging. Unfortunately, “Jaws 2” was highly profitable—not as much as its predecessor, but it was still very successful at the box office—and this caused execs to go for not one, but two more sequels. They should have quit while they were ahead.this movie sucked - A_feel_good_movie
I love a large variety of movies but this one really bites the big one. I was hoping that this movie would be fairly good since Jaws was awesome considering the special FX were no existent back then but Jaws 2 had a terrible sorry line. To believe that a shark would have a personal vendetta against a particular family insults the intelligence of the viewer. My personal opion is to skid this movie and make your self a sandwich and watch an infomercial which would be more entertaining.Jaws 2 - Go fish elsewhere - Winckes
Jaws 2 reminds you why you loved the original Jaws and the disappointment of its subsequent sequels. Jaws 2 is watchable but pales in comparison to the suspense and thrills from the first Jaws. Jaws 2 warns you that it still is not safe to go in the water but somehow it just seems less plausible that the same ill fortune happens to the same guy again (Schieder).
