Jeepers Creepers
"This is the most scary, stylish horror movie I've seen in years." -Clive Barker
You can keep your doors locked. You can keep your eyes closed. But still, he'll get what he wants... and what he wants is... you. Brace yourself for "90 minutes of steadily mounting horror [that] delivers more than its share of honest chills" (The Baltimore Sun). From "the scariest opening sequence of any horror picture in recent memory" (Los Angeles Times) to "one of the gutsiest endings to a film this year" (Dallas Morning News), Jeepers Creepers is the real deal in terror!
>BR>
One a desolate country highway, two homeward-bound teens (Gina Philips, Living Out Loud and Justin Long, TV's Ed) are nearly run off the road by a maniac in a beat-up truck... and later spot him shoving what appears to be a body down a sewer pipe. But when they stop to investigate, they discover that the grisly reality at the bottom of that pipe is far worse than they could have ever suspected... and that they are now the targets of an evil far more unspeakable - and unstoppable - than they could have ever imagined!

Victor Salva doesn’t miss a single cliche in this paean to 80’s bogeyman flicks but he does it with such style and sly humour that he practically reinvents the genre for a new generation. The film’s outlandish plot is enhanced by some great visual effects, a clever script and appropriately over-the-top performances, most notably Eileen Brennan as the crazy cat lady and Justin “Hi, I’m a Mac” Long as the unlucky teenager. A lot of good bloody fun!Interesting concept but average presentation - Coconut_Willy
I am always skeptical of more modern horror films as they often borrow heavily from past classics (good ones but too often, bad ones). This movie at least has the merit of introducing an original concept but obviously did not know where to take it. The storyline which starts really well, branches out in way too many unrealistic sub-plots that leave the viewer a bit disappointed. I found that too much of the film could be considered 'filler'. One thing that I particularily dislike in suspense movies is 'the car that would not start'; in this one, the car would not get in gear at least half a dozen times which gets very annoying. The cast here is OK doing an appropriate acting job with an average dialogue. The sets and locations are appropriate, the soundtrack is surprisingly good and the camera work is professional. The gore scenes are not too extreme and the special effects are OK. I would recommend this to horror fans only as it can not be considered worthwhile on any other level of film-making.divertissant - Fouine
