Juggernaut
The Greatest Sea Adventure In History has Just Begun
The high seas have never been more terrifying than in this riveting, tension-packed adventure. Richard Harris (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets) and Omar Sharif (Doctor Zhivago) head on all-star cast that includes Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins (Hannibal) in a "tingling" (The Village Voice), edge-of-your seat shipboard thriller!
HMS Britannic is caught in a storm at sea. But the real terror is on board - seven bombs planted by a terrorist calling himself Juggernaut, who demands a high ransom in exchange for the passengers' lives. Bomb expert Fallon (Harris) is flown to the ship and, as negotiations break down, he struggles with the most challenging job of his life in a race against time!

Richard Harris...Yes - ShawnConnery
It is definitely slow-paced, and what I feel is a slightly awkward mix of romance, suspense, and comedy. Plus, Anthony Hopkins and Omar Sharif didn't have as good a role as I hoped for. However, Richard Harris made this movie. His dailogue, persona, and acting were perfect. You could see how he and the suspenseful bomb-defusing affected bomb-defusing movies of generations to come. Not amazing, but worth a look just for Harris.Suspenseful. yes but not much action - Coconut_Willy
I can remember when this film came out; I thought it was pretty good. Watching it again today though I thought it was a bit on the boring side mostly because of the rather slow pace that this movie maintains throughout and the lack of action. The storyline is pretty good and it should have been possible to do much more with it but, it might have been influenced by other disaster films of the period and a lot of the development is directed towards character relationships that don't really add much to the movie. The cast is stellar and a few do a good acting job with a nice dialogue. Others (like Omar Sharif and Anthony Hopkins) don't have a good enough part to perform at their normal level. The sets and locations are appropriate, the soundtrack should have had a much bigger part and the camera work is good. Overall, I have found this film to be too much on the slow side for a thriller. If that doesn't bother you and you are interested in seeing this great cast in a disaster setup, you should enjoy this one.Excellent suspense - Zanna
This is great fun. Not as slick as an expensive modern terrorism thriller would be, but nicely dramatic with excellent suspense. I have never seen Richard Harris better, and there is large cast of very experienced, fine actors, many of whom ( like Ian Holm)later became much better known. Good stuff.
