Just Visiting
They Came. They Saw. They Wanna Go Back.
Just Visiting is one very funny fish-out-of-water comedy the whole family will enjoy. It's 12th century France and Count Thibault of Malfete (Jean Reno, Mission: Impossible) finds his beautiful bride-to-be (Christina Applegate, TV's Jesse) done in by malevolent magic. So he and his loyal servant Andre (Christian Clavier, Les Visiteurs) request the help of a local wizard to right the wrong and bring his beloved back. But the wizardry goes awry and the pair is transported to 21st century Chicago where they meet Thibault's descendant Julia (Applegate) and her scheming fiancé. With their timeless values of honor and courage, they wreak havoc as they foil diabolical plots in modern-day Chicago and try to fin d their way back home.

A fun little movie! - Tbot
This is a lighthearted story that reminds me of movies from the 80's like The Princess Bride and Labyrinth. The actors are all earnest in their roles, and they pull off the confusion and reactions that one would imagine if medieval guys appeared in the modern world. Sit back, suspend your disbelief, and enjoy.Just...not bad - Rick1
This is a remake of a French film with the same idea, and that also starred Jean Reno. This film has its few funny moments, but as a whole, it drags on and the laughs are too few and far between. However, Jean Reno is a great character actor and Applegate is as cute as ever. But the other characters don't really keep the entertainment going. Plus having Tara Reid in there, is truly a wonder. But for a time traveling tale, Just Visiting is just...not bad. Too bad Jean Reno could not make a "Professional" prequal!!!Just Visiting - Fivepin

In this American retelling of the 1993 French comedy blockbuster "Les Visiteurs," a medieval count (Reno) and his faithful servant (Clavier) are accidentally transported forward in time from 12th century France to modern-day Chicago due to a wizard's flawed time-travel potion.
This movie is a very well done film for the whole family. The visual effects were excellent and added nicely to the film. The script is very funny and in a way reminds me of light hearted comedy "The Princess Bride". An all around feel good fantasy comedy with a happy ending in which all characters get what they deserve. 4 out of 5 stars.
