Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
"Angelina Jolie Delivers! She's The Ultimate Superhero" -Sandie Newton, CBS-TV
Lara Croft, the world's most famous video-game heroine, burst onto the big screen in "...the most stylish and entertaining action-adventure movie in years!"
Exploring lost empires, finding priceless treasures, punishing villains in mortal combat.. It's all in a day's work for adventurer Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie). But a secret from her father's (Jon Voight) past is about to lead Lara to her greatest challenge: the Triangle Of Light, a legendary artifact with the power to alter space and time. Lara must find the Triangle before it falls into the clutches of the Illuminati, a secret society bent on world domination. To stop the Illuminati, Lara will have to survive a cross-continental chase filled with unimaginable danger. But for the Tomb Raider, danger is the name of the game.

a video game come to life - Pumon
for a movie based on a classic video game there were many ways that it could have gone. fortunetly it didnt go that bad, Angelinia Jolie now seems like a natural choice for Lara croft. I liked the action and the witty dialogue. Definitly a boy move but still fun for galsTwaddle - MiniMum
I haven't played the video game but it can't help but be better than this rubbish. The word that springs to the mind when describing this movie is 'silly.' Jolie and Voight with English accents? Doesn't work. Craig with an American accent? Same. CGI? Standard, probably better in the game. Plot? Idiotic, nonsensical, pick your own derogatory adjective. At one point one of the characters proclaims "Enough of this twaddle." I couldn't agree more.7 / 10 - E-Man
Having only played Tomb Raider a short while and not playing any of the sequels, I didn't have any huge expectations for the movie. I knew it was an action/adventure movie with AJ in it, and I knew the background behind Tomb Raider but I wasn't a fanatic about. What I saw was a pretty good movie, I gave it an 8. It wasn't outstanding, it didn't change my life, it didn't make me want to run out and buy up all of the TR games. It was just a pretty good movie I shelled out $5 for (the matinee) and got what I expected: a pleasant afternoon in some air conditioning watching something enjoyable to pass some time. I didn't go hoping to alter my life's path, and for those of you who think movies are going to do that for you, they have some really good professional help nowadays you really should look into. For all those who complained about it, I liken you to people who go to a really good steak house and order the only fish dish on the menu and then complain about it. If you didn't want to see a crash-bang shootem' up movie, then why did you go? If you don't want steak, then don't go to the steak house.
