Last Hero In China
Internationally famous Kung-fu star, Jet Li, plays the Chinese folk hero, Wong Fei Hong, in this action-filled movie.
Wong, running a Kung-fu teaching school in Canton, is experiencing financial troubles, and is forced to relocate his Kung-fu academy next to a brothel. Soon he is drawn into a violent confrontation with the Boxer Society, which has been kidnapping young women and selling them into prostitution. Wong has to show off his most advanced Kung-fu skills, Iron Cock and Drunken Eight Fairy, to fight off the gangs.

Low Grade Movie - Mookie
I don't expect much from these Chinese films and I certainly didn't get much from this one. I would normally give a light action flick like this a 3/5 but the rooster centipede battle at the end of the film was just too much to take. Poor Jet Li. Not a high point in his career.
One thing I love about films like this is that there is no time wasted setting up scenes or cutting from one scene to another. They are silly fast and fun. This film is typical of the genre but there just wasn't enough Jet Li to make it worth while.
