Last Orders
Based on the Booker Prize-Winning Novel by Graham Swift
Covering nearly half a century in the lives of a group of South London buddies, Last Orders follows four men from their adopted pub to Margate Pier. Along with them are the ashes of Jack, their larger than life friend, whose deathbed request sends them on their way. Through flashbacks (with younger versions of each actor portrayed by an extraordinary up and coming cast), Last Orders paints a portrait of their lives that will make you laugh and break your heart. Take a trip with these mates for the journey of a lifetime.
From director Fred Schepsi (Six Degrees of Separation) and starring two time Academy Award winner Michael Caine, Academy Award nominees Bob Hoskins, Helen Mirren and Tom Courtenay, David Hemmings and Ray Winstone. Last Orders is "a bawdy, delight! Gorgeously acted by a British cast to rival Gosford Park!"- Peter Travers, Rolling Stone

Incredible Performance - crondeau
Just watched this movie and thought it was well worth it. The performances were outstanding. The story was very touching and moving. The accents made it a bit difficult to follow at first, but the story isn't that complex anyway.
A bit slow in part, the movie was exceptional due to its cast. I'm not sure that it would have been as good if it didn't have such powerful actors.
