Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde
Bigger. Bolder. Blonder.
Reese Witherspoon is back in Elle Woods' strappy shoes, and this time she's taking on Washington, D.C.! Featuring an all-star cast, including Sally Field, Bob Newhart and Luke Wilson, this hilarious hit comedy is a "hugely enjoyable sequel" (TV Guide) that will leave you lobbying for more!
When Elle (Witherspoon) discovers that her lovable chihuahua Bruiser's mom is locked in a cruel animal testing facility, she heads to D.C. to fight for animal rights, give Washington a makeover and prove once and for all that America really is the land of the free... and the home of the blonde!

An Unnecessary Sequal - crazyboutmovies
This movie is a pale shadow of the original. Yes, there are a few laughs, and a few of the endearing characters are written into the story, but the entire operation gives the impression of just trying too hard. The story is simply too far fetched and over-the-top. Witherspoon, who was so natural and likeable in the original, looks like she's overacting in the sequal.
So stick with the original "Legally Blonde", and don't make the mistake of thinking that lighting can strike twice.Sequel Really ??? - tlefrancois
Legally Blonde" didn't exactly cry for a sequel but we got one anyways. The plot is really silly and unrealistic...but if you can get over that you might enjoy yourself.
Reese Witherspoon is, once again, dynamic as Elle Woods. She's impossible to dislike and plays her character to the hilt...she doesn't make her too dumb, too smart or too sweet...she plays it straight down the middle which works. Also on hand is Luke Wilson (wasted again) as Elle's boyfriend and Elle's two hysterically funny best friends from the first movie. Also it's great to see Bob Newhart and Sally Fields back on screen again (Newhart is great--Fields is so-so).
Unfortunately, the script has severe problems. It has some truly funny lines and clever sequences--the Delta Nus "invasion" of Washington is worth the price of admission--but it also has more than its share of unfunny bits and dead spots--too many of them in fact. So, I seriously can't give it a full recommendation--just a partial one.Think positive - movie_goer
This one is a Shock pleaser, because in real life Reese was pregnant and tried to rush the movie its medy-oker to the orginal. But it still is mildly fun, very insightful. LESS laugh more getting down to business when she wants Brusers (HER DOG) bill to pass. her dogs mother is property to a lab and Elle wants to free her. Moving To Washington, Sally field takes her under her wing only to screw her over BIG time, now its really personal, pulling out all the tricks in the law book and sentiments of Elle she proves once again Dressed in Pink that shes a winner!
