But Natalie has her own secret that has haunted her every day for 12 years - a child that the then unmarried Natalie thought she had given up for adoption. He wasn't.


Instead, Little John (Robert Bailey, Jr. Dragonfly) was lovingly raised on a Texas farm by Natalie's estranged father, John (Ving Rhames, Mission: Impossible, Dave). Natalie's well-ordered life is suddenly thrown into turmoil when her father journeys west to introduce her to the son she gave up at birth. Meanwhile, L.J. has his own misgivings about meeting the woman he believes abandoned him.


With failing health, John tries one last time to brings his estranged daughter and grandson together. Natalie is forced to confront the secrets that have been hidden behind the surface of her exciting new life. Sylvia (Patty Duke, The Miracle Worker, Harvest of Fire), Natalie's wise law clerk, helps her deal with her feelings. For Natalie, facing the past will be her most difficult trial.
