Little Shop Of Horrors
It's The Most Outrageous Musical Comedy In Years.
Business blooms at Mushnik's Flower Shop when an exotic potted plant called Audrey II arrives. It turns out to be a carnivorous "mean, green mother from outer space," filling that little shop with lotsa horrors.
Little Shop Of Horrors first flowered in a low-budget 1960 Roger Corman movie, resprouted as a smash 1980 off-Broadway musical and now comes full circle in this 1986 movie musical adaptation of the stage hit with a score by multiple Academy Award winners Alan Menken and Howard Ashman.
An all-star cast of comedy pros spreads tentacles of pleasure. And this DVD is packed with new and never-before-seen extras.

I have to say this is by far the cheesiest movies I have ever seen but it is my top fifteen of favorite movies of all time! I love it too death because of all the humor and singing (since I love musicals). Mainly all the story is about is an average guy who is in love with a girl but is dating the sleazy boyfriend. He owns a plant that is from outer space and they compromise in a deal to make Seymour famous and the plant (Audry 2) well fed. But there's more to the story than just a plant from outer space. It's a romance and a tragedy to the greater good of mankind. I especially love the three girls. The singers. Without them this wouldn't even be a good movie. With there sisterly act and hip hop soul they make the movie even better. I love them for that. I totally recommend this movie to watch with your loved ones and laugh and cry at the same time.Total Classic - FilmJunkie
The story of man who meets a plant, the plant needs blood and the man needs Audrey, the plant helps him get Audrey and the man helps the plant get blood, until it all comes crashing down.
Rick Moranis ain't no singer, but he pulls it off pretty well as pathetic Seymour. He is dopey, but dark, just right to be able to kill in the name of love.
Steve Martin is dangerous sexy as the doomed dentist boyfriend of Audrey (Ellen Greene). His scene with Bill Murray as the masochistic patient is one of the best in the movie.
In my opinion, this film is all about Ellen Greene as Audrey. She plays dumb and sweet, with a rack for days, but then that voices busts out. This woman can sing. 'Suddenly Seymour' and 'Somewhere That's Green' are my favorite songs because of that voice.
Funny, dark, like a big alive stage with a crazy awesome storyline.

This is my taste. Who doesn't love singing, murderous plants from outer space? This movie was awesome. In fact, it's worth it for Bill Murray's scene alone. Seriously, that guy is awesome. So was Rick Moranis and Steve Martin, for that matter. The performances were hilarious. The music was great, I'm still humming some of the songs. The Audrey II puppet was cool - it makes me kind of miss the days of puppets (vs our current computer animated characters). Even the costumes were fantastic, I loved a lot of Audrey's dresses.
However, I can't help but wish they had stuck to the original ending.
The Opinion: DVD worthy.
