Lock Up
When you're behind bars, all bets are off.
He is only six months away from freedom. But a warden obsessed with revenge wants to take his future away.
"This is hell and I'm going to give you a guided tour!" With these chilling words, the warden (Donald Sutherland) welcomes Frank Leone (Sylvester Stallone) to Gateway Prison, a nightmare jail where every minute is hard time. The warden wants vengeance for the past; Leone wants only to survive the present. Their explosive battle of wills is the electrifying heart of one of Stallone's most heroic thrillers, Lock Up. Stallone gives a monumental performance as Leone, a convict driven to break his own cherished code by a warden who will stop at nothing to get him.

If I was to vote on a great actor one of my votes would go to Sylvester Stallone for only he can take a mediocre written script and make it into a very exciting movie that you on edge all through the movie as to who is going to win which is inevitable who it is but it is full of action and the way Stallone does it only he could do this.Typical Stallone - Sports
Stallone can take a very average plot and make a good movie. I said good and not great as the film is very predictable from start to finish but more that watchable all the same. The treatment the movie gets on blu-ray is very good with the print looking better than it's original release in '89. The extras are nothing to write home about but then again this is no classic movie just a a good action no brainer.Rating: C+ - RPM-
A movie that makes you root for the inmate.
A warden obsessed with evening the score with Leone, a former inmate, has him transfered to his prison to serve hard time with hopes to break him down. Leone gets set up several times and by another inmate he trusted when he attempts to escape prison.
An OK movie with some unrealistic premises.
