Loser
American Pie's Jason Biggs will win your heart as lovable loser Paul Tannek, a small-town guy just starting college in New York City. With little cash, no friends and three hard-partying, girl-chasing roommates who taunt him when they're not ignoring him, Paul's life is the pits. Then he meets kindred spirit, fellow student Dora Diamond (American Beauty's Mena Suvari) and things start to look up. But if Dora's heartless boyfriend, their literature professor Edward Alcott (Greg Kinnear), doesn't get in the way of the budding romance, Paul's conniving roommates will.
Directed by Amy Heckerling (Clueless, Fast Times At Ridgemont High), this winning romantic comedy features cameos by Dan Aykroyd and Andy Dick.

Feel Good Movie - anwallette
This movie taps into everyone's inner-loser. Everyone has felt like that at one time or another.
The plot is a bit predictable, but it has a feel good ending and you see Paul stand up for what he believes in - the truth and values. You seem him change into who he is really is as the movie progresses. Not Oscar-winning, but definitely cute for a Saturday morning.

Loser is not a very funny teen comedy. In fact, its kind of depressing. Given the film's title one would think that the main character is some kind of super nerd or social outcast. He's not. He's just a regular soft spoken guy new to the big city. No comedy there. His love interest, played by Mena Suvari is supposed to be a bit of a weird outsider. She's not. She is homeless and having an affair with her teacher. No comedy there. Our hero has 3 roommates who like to party. They also like to drug women and date-rape them. No comedy there. All in all, loser is more of an after school break special than a comedy. Skip it.okay - D1--
Not a really outstanding movie, it is not really bad but it is also not really good. Loser is pretty predicable and a lot of the characters and situations are not very realistic. There are some entertaining scenes and some typically touching scenes. Unless you have not much else to do, skip this one.
