Lost In Space
The space family Robinson in back in this 1997 remake. William Hurt and Mimi Rogers star as Professor John and Dr. Maureen Robinson, who set off with their family on a mission to find a new planet for the population of a polluted Earth to move to. Gary Oldman takes over the role as the evil Dr. Smith. Look for cameos from the original cast, including Dick Tuckfeld. Who's that you ask? A hint: "Danger, Danger Will Robinson!"

This is quite a good movie. The remake of the classic TV series is done very well. This really is not a kids movie as it is quite dark at times. Matthew Leblanc is good in his role but would not have been my first choice but he does pull it off. If you like Sci Fi action this is for youGood, not great, sci-fi - vaporeon800
I was 11 when this came out, and I think it is really more of a kid's movie or family film. Others have said that it's really not for fans of the old TV show which I agree with.
The story is interesting, as I love time travel stories. One thing I was impressed with watching it recently was the cinematography. It is actually shot impressively well for how schlocky it can be at times, and there are lots of bright colors and pretty people to look at.
Some of the lines/acting are subpar, and of course it's tough to take Matt Leblanc seriously.
Much of the CGI holds up decently, and the Jim Henson company's creature effects still look great.
Overall I recommend it if you're looking for a fun movie, so long as you're prepared to take it less seriously than it takes itself.Good Special effects - funguy
This movie can be corny at times. It seems like it was trying to be a dark Sci-fi horror and appeal to children at the same time. It's too scary for children so I really didn't see the point of having that little cute cuddly alien running around.
Special effects are great and I would have to recommend this as one of the better surround sound movies. The sound is great in this one
