Lofty goals - jungforu
Love & Basketball sets out with some pretty lofty goals. First, both main characters want to play in the NBA. Second, they are suppose to fall in love with each other and live happily ever after. That being sais, this movie was successful at creating the perfect story tale ending to this movie. However, the way they went about doing it was not terribly elegant, with poor editing and boring dialogue. This movie was decent, but at the same time, could have been told in a much more interesting way.Worth Watching - Shynn
This is a movie that should be typical by most standards, high school love, etc.. The fact it it's not typical due to some extraordinary performances by an impressive cast list. Saraa Lathan and Omar Epps fit as the star crossed duo. The script is simple in context and is clearly not meant to go to the Oscars but nonetheless the message received is clear. Chase your dreams but realize when they've changed and do something about it.Feel good story - Aznaro8
It's your typical sports-love story, but it was played out so good. Both lead actor/actress does a tremendous job of selling their roles. One of the very few love stories that I've actually enjoyed. The ending was kind of abrupt and I wish they played it out a little bit longer, but other than that I have no qualms about it. Superb movie all around
