Love And The Frenchwoman
Seven Stages of Love Explored by Seven Masters of Filmmaking
Tracing the Frenchwoman's life from childhood through old age, this unique anthology explores seven pivotal stages of love in short films made by seven distinguished directors.
Featuring an all-star ensemble cast, the collected stories chronicle such time-honored topics as sexual curiosity, virginity, married life, infidelity, amicable divorce and loneliness. Animated vignettes cleverly introduce each "stage", adding a distinctive charm to a film that succeeds in being both humorous and remarkably profound.

My annoyance mainly is that this movie is actually coywritten 1960. Not the 2001 that is stated in the Zip summary. I hate it when ZIP states incorrect information on it's sleeve jackets and online.
It features a young Simone Signoret and Jean Paul Belmondo. France movie icons of the 20th century.
It's a truly lovely movie which if one is francophone, we have already seen many times ontelevision during the last 40 years. This movie influenced a slew of babies named Ginette in Quebec!
Just remember it's Black and White copywritten 1960 and NOT a 2001 produced flick.
The movie is sweet filmed in Black and White with lots of vintage early 1960's wardrobe. Think Zaza Gabor in Green Acres impecable wardrobe choices.
I liked it for it's witty clean France humour spoken in impeccable French.
