Mary Chapin Carpenter: Jubilee: Live at Wolf Trap
Mary Chapin Carpenter, one of the most intelligent and soulful voices in contemporary country music, is captured onstage in this 1995 concert video that features duets with Shawn Colvin and Joan Baez. Interviews with Chapin and other artists complement her music. Songs include "I Feel Lucky," "Passionate Kisses," "He Thinks He'll Keep Her," "Why Walk When You Can Fly," "Down at the Twist and Shout" and "Jubilee."

New meaning to "Down" at the Twist and Shout - Wolfmann
I'm a huge fan, but when I started this DVD, my TV was set for full 16:9 format and the DVD was in 4:3. Mary appeared to be waddling across the stage. But poor Mary. When I corrected the format she was still waddling around.
This DVD has some of her best songs; unfortunately the performance was pretty lacklustre. My favourite "Down at the Twist and Shout" was a pale comparison to the dynamic version she does on a video (find it on You Tube) with Beausoleil. The behind the scenes interviews didn't reveal much--just how the band is like a family and they have their differences, etc.
Mary Chapin Carpenter is one of the most intelligent, articulate performers around and I will continue to be a fan. I'm just not going to play this particular DVD again.
