Me, Myself & Irene
It's not unusual for two men to be in love with the same woman...unless it's the same man.
Jim Carrey delivers a hysterical performance in this "fall-down, flat-out, irresistibly deranged movie" (Rolling Stone). Rhode Island state trooper Charlie Baileygates (Jim Carrey) proves that nice guys finish first after marrying the prettiest gal in town. But when she leaves him for another man, Charlie develops a split personality and his outrageous opposite, Hank, is born! Hank's got a filthy mouth, a bad attitude and a short fuse. When Charlie falls crazy in love with the beautiful but wanted Irene, he must wage war -- with himself -- for the confused Irene's affections.

To say this lends itself to some painfully low brow humour would be an understatement and whether or not you will enjoy the movie rests largely on what your reaction to the phrase "Jim Carrey being hit with nun-chucks by an angry black midget" is. For those of you who prefer his more gentle approach in The Truman Show or Man on the Moon then this is not the film for you. If however, you howled with laughter watching Dumb & Dumber as I did, then this should be right up your street. Carrey, fresh off playing more restrained roles in the previously mentioned films looks to be having a total riot letting himself loose and his rubbery faced contortions are hilarious. Watching him wrestling with a cow, beating himself up and getting drop kicked down a hill is an absolute blast, the man is king of physical comedy. Throw in some very, very funny scenarios involving rubber dildos, albino waiters who may secretly be serial murderers and tarantulas and you have a highly entertaining turn.It was pretty good - TsTa
I liked this movie, I was laughing the entire time. but you know it was a little off the wall... a little corny, but still ttaly jim carrys style. the three brothers were probably the best characters in the movieand the best part had to have been when Jim Carrey crapped on his neighbor's lawn. i thought it was pretty good and would recomend watching it.Devilishly Quotable - AnnaK
If you've been running dry on some good one-liners, I recommend this flick! Yes, it's immature and silly, and it's Jim Carrey making silly faces and trying to have some serious moments. But make no mistake - this is a genuine gut-buster, crammed with naughty quotables. If you don't mind a little silliness, you will find yourself laughing until you wheeze. My bf enjoyed the knee-slappers almost as much as pre-Bridget Jones Rene' Zelwegger running around braless throughout the entire film.
