Memoirs Of An Invisible Man
"Funny and fantastic! The special effects are astonishing." -Marshall Fine, Gannett Newspaper
Just a quick nap and weary stock analyst Nick Halloway is sure he'll emerge good as new. Instead, he wakes up good as gone. Vanished. Poof. Thin air. A nuclear accident has made Nick invisible.
The laughs and visual effects are out of sight when Chevy Chase headlines Memoirs of an Invisible Man. Invisibility makes it easier to spy on agents (particularly chief adversary Sam Neill) who've put him in his predicament. And he can romance a lovely documentary producer (Daryl Hannah) in a way she's never "seen" before. John Carpenter (Halloween, Starman) directs and the Industrial Light and Magic dream weavers conjure up eye-opening effects as Nick embarks on his manic quest. Seeing is believing. And enjoying.

"Unpredicable, charming and off beat..."
Chevy chase and Daryl Hannah play it safe in a swift sci-fy comedy- adventure that fails to push limits and pass boundaries.
Somehow i was glued to the TV screen, curious to find out how they'd reverse Chase's invisble body back to normal. Even the ending toke me by surprise.Fresh and fun - Chuck_Bytes
I liked this film. It put a modern spin on the invisible man with a couple of decent twists. Good special effects and a few good laughs. It's fun for the family if you're kids are over 12 and has some moments that even make you think back to when you were a kid and imagined what it would be like to be invisible. Worth the rental.Good not great. - Nerdcore
I had seen this movie awhile ago and enjoyed it. Ah, the joys of youth! Although in 2005 this movie hasn't aged well, it still entertained me to see again. The special effects (which in '92 were state of the art) seem a bit dated but still impressed me in their scope. There was some novel approaches to the material here and I felt it was a good effort from John Carpenter as this wasn't his usual fare. Chevy Chase was also a surprise as he sheds some of his comedy past, too bad he didn't continue in this direction. Loads better than "Hollow Man".
