Wonderful Look At Life As A Comedian - newdaysof
Mr. Saturday Night is a very funny and touching look at the life of a comedian. Loosely auto-biographical, Billy Crystal co-wrote, produced, directed and stars as an aging comedian reminiscing about the successes, failures and triumphs of his life and career.
Billy Crystal is an outstanding comedian, able to ad-lib and come up with so many brilliant zingers. He really is one of the best comedians of our generation as well as being a fine actor and director. The directing, camera work and editing are excellent as is the story, script and dialogue. You better strap on your seat-belts and put on your crash-helmets because the jokes come fast and furious.
This film really never got the attention and praise it deserves. It is a hidden gem and well worth watching several times. It will make you want to go out and rent all of Billy Crystal's movies.
