Murphy - A Bit Psycho Perhaps? - MovieLover5
I gave this an overall 'OK' rating because it does have some good scenes, particularly when Murphy is learning to fly the airplane. However, I have to wonder what planet the person who wrote the movie overview came from. To call this movie "quirky" when it's full of violence and death is bizarre. I generally like Peter O'Toole but this role is not one I'm keen on. In fact, his braying became really annoying after a while.Murphy's War - Guilda
Reading reviews on this movie...We need to understand that it was 1971. This movie was well made and action pack for its time. The war was over but not for Murphy. It portrayed the true patriotism of the american hero vs. the foreign evil. Bravo! Excellent movie.Murphy's Bore - Ramsey
Cool plane, they showed enough of it. Plot was so full of holes this movie should have gone down with the ship. Characters were shallow, action was lame, and logic was really missing. For example, why would Murphy attack a u-boat, let them see him, then park his plane infront of a hospital endangering everyone? Either he is stupid, or this movie REALLY SUCKS.
