My Cousin Vinny
A Comedy Of Trial And Error
In this must-see comedy hit, two carefree pals traveling through Alabama are mistakenly arrested and charged with murder. Fortunately, one of them has a lawyer friend in the family -- Vincent Gambini (Joe Pesci), a former auto mechanic from Brooklyn who has never been in court -- or in Alabama. When cousin Vinny arrives with his leather-clad girlfriend (Marisa Tomei in her Oscar-winning Supporting Actress performance) to handle his first case, it's a real shock -- for him and the Deep South!

This Film Still Hold Up After 20-Years! - Dudley_Do-Right
This film is still funny, 20-years after it was made. It's well written, tightly directly, with hilarious performances by Joe Pesce, Marisa Tomei and, of course, Fred Gwynne.
When a movie stands the test of time, like this one has, it becomes apparent that it the pieces of the whole all came together.JOE PESCI, need I say more..... - Shoeprint
This movie is hilarious! Joe Pesci definitely puts out the humour, and Marisa Tomei really deserved the Academy Award. Her deer speech will never be forgotten! The relationship of Pesci and the judge are some of the funniest interactions. Never use family as your representation!!!!Slow going at first, but really good!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Radio_Jane
This movie got off to a slow start. It was an overdone premise, in fact switch the courtroom for a hospital, and it would have been Doc Hollywood. However, you have to hang in there, because it gets really good. I thought Marissa Tomei was dead on. The only time I have ever seen her perform nearly as well as she did here was in Oscar(where she was also named Lisa). And the last 45 minutes are the best bit of comedy I have ever seen Pesci do. All in all its pretty great. Fred Gwynne,(Herman Munster), and Maury Chakin (Nero Wolfe), round out the stars in this cute courtroom comedy.
