National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
"I laughed myself silly. Christmas Vacation jingled my bells." -Pia Lindstrom, WNBC-TV/New York
This holiday season Clark Griswold vows his clan will enjoy "the most fun-filled old-fashioned family Christmas ever." Before you can sing "Fa-la-la-la-lah," he decks the halls with howls of folly in the perennial favorite National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
Seeing is believing. There are 25,000 lights on the roof. An exploding turkey on the dining room table. A SWAT team taking siege outside. A festive supporting cast and a John Hughes script full of wit, heart and sheer goofiness. Yule love it!

Easily the funniest of the four Vacation movies. Just try keeping a straight face when the uncouth Cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid) is on screen.
With enough sight gags to please slapstick fans and enough good-natured Christmas cheer to qualify as a good holiday film, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation should keep most viewers occupied and provide 97 minutes of goofy entertainment. The best Christmas movie out there! - Madamx28
1 VHS and 2 DVD's later (all replacements of worn out copies) and I still can't stop watching this amazing seasonal masterpiece! It's definitely a Christmas staple at our house and I can't get through a Christmas season without watching it several times. If you haven't already watched this then you're truly missing out on some of the best laughter you can ever get from a movie. Couple that with an incredibly warm ambiance and you'll be wishing you were part of this comedic family in real life. A must see!!The Best of the Vacation Series - MDFehr
One of the last great films to bear the National Lampoon brand, and probably my favorite of the Vacation series. This movie never fails to get a laugh out of me, even when I know the punchlines are coming. There's a wide variety of humour here--slapstick, one-liners, satire, and some well-crafted dialogue. And underneath is what makes the Vacation series so endearing--the sentiment of family. Chevy Chase was famous on Saturday Night Live for his physical comedy, and this film proves he's still one of the masters. I had this film on VHS and my brothers and I wore out the tape watching the attic stairs slide out into his face over and over... There is a stellar supporting cast as well, notably Randy Quaid as the hilariously infuriating Cousin Eddie. He and Chevy Chase have a chemistry that is exploited to the fullest here.
