Niagara
The Diamond Collection
A vacationing couple, George and Rose Loomis (Joseph Cotton and Marilyn Monroe), rent a quaint bungalow at romantic Niagara Falls. But Rose and her lover plan to murder the unsuspecting George - in the falls! A dramatic departure from her more upbeat roles, Monroe's fascinating performance as the scheming murderess paints a powerfully dark portrait of human sexuality.

Niagara - Firetoy
One of the best movies ever filmed in Niagara. It shows us how much Niagara has grown and expanded in the past 50 years. The documentation is incredible. I go there about 12 times a year for a getaway and always think of this movie. So much has changed. Another well filmed movie is Niagara Motel. An indie classic. If you are a Niagara Falls freak, check out Niagara Niagara with Robin Tuney. A true classic.Magnificent setting - Cathar
This is highly recommended for the steamy role played by Monroe, and the excellent footage of Niagara Falls (both the falls and the region), with the roar and the mist creating a great atmosphere for the action, which ranges from campy "gee whiz!" 50s innocence to dark melodrama.Naigara - CinemaCavalier
This film sets her apart from her other cheery films. The whole cast plays this straight like gin. Marilyn plays a cheating wife with a desire to kill off her husband. The plan goes into trouble, causing surprising twists and turns. Noir elements are used but not over played to look silly. Marilyn's waredrobe cuts her out to be one sexy double crossing murderer. Niagara scenes are true and pretty, no tinsle town back lot used here. A fine noir thriller for lovers.
