We really really enjoyed Out of Africa. What a great film with a fantastic story. The acting is superb. I don't know how Meryl Streep does it but she convinces you everytime that she is that character. The character development of her and Robert Redford is superb. Its wonderful to see an "oldie" where its all about the story and cinematography. Its refreshing from constantly being bombarded with Hollywood blockbusters that are all about special effects or movies that have already been done. Out of African was stunning and deserved all 7 Academy Award Nominations!Streep gives a stand-out performance - Piper
I just recently watched this classic for the first time.
The cinamatography is amazing. The scenery in the movie is breathtaking.
Meryl Streep's gives a stand-out performance - even for her (which is difficult because she is always amazing).
This wasn't my favourite movie, but that's because I didn't find the storyline all that interesting, but that is my personal taste and I can see that others could find the story riveting.Wow - AlanSmithee

The cinematography and acting are unsurpassed, while the score provides the icing on the cake for a truly magnificent film!!! Sydney Pollack tells a great story and it is no surprise that Out of Africa took home so many Oscars back in 1985. A must see!!!
