Quite possibly one of the worst films I have ever seen. Everyone talks about how this movie is bad but hilarious, but I just don't see it. I wish I had used my rental on something else. I probably watched it for a good half hour before I felt like any longer would be a complete waste of time. Don't think that just because Chris Rock is in it it will be good; that's what I regret thinking. Be warned.pootie rocks - e---
I know this movie is totally underappreciated, but holy crap I'm blown away by the breadth of pootie's charm and talents. Wanda Sykes is amazing, as usual. Same with Chris Rock. Totally silly, dumb humour with that crazy kind of magic that just works.Poo Pootie Tang - jurassicmark
This somehow still falls into my 'must see' category even though the movie stinks.
Pootie Tang is a Chris Rock production that takes comedy normally reserved for short sketch-style television and stretches it into a full length movie.
As a result Pootie Tang has it's very funny moments interrupted by long stints of stupidity. Definitely a movie that is quotable. "Seba-Town, Watatay etc."
Do you remember the first time you watched Napoleon Dynamite and kinda just sat there staring? And then you quoted it for months. Well, here is a Chris Rock version of that.
Mindless and memorable.
