Private Parts
Never before has a man done so much with so little.
There's only one way to describe Howard Stern: funny. Private Parts captures Howard at his most hilarious, in a bare-all, no-jokes-barred look at a true entertainment sensation.
Based on the #1 bestseller, Private Parts follows Howard's amazing transformation from school nerd to media superstar. With the tireless support of his true love, Alison (Mary McCormack), Howard battles slimy broadcasting execs, bitter radio jocks, and his own self-doubts to emerge triumphant as "The King Of All Media." Featuring sidekick Robin Quivers and the rest of Stern's radio gang, Private Parts is as uncompromising, honest, and flat-out funny as Howard Stern himself.

Sterns Biopic - kav2001c
Misunderstood comic without a clue Howard Stern wages was against the establishment in this autobiographical flick
Follows his tales from his humble beginnings on highschool radio to his big breakthrough and beyond
Characters are interesting but Im not such a huge Stern fan personallyAlmost Ready For A Sequel Mr. Stern - TheShamus
Howard Stern is known as a "shock jock" based out of New York City. Lots of people love his schtick ... others find him offensive and rude. Stern released a book called, "Private Parts". It was autobiographical -- and surprisingly, it comes off as a love story (for a wife who stuck by him through "lean years" and through plenty of turbulence.
There are some good laughs here ... and Stern is definitely shown as a misunderstood figure (and an unlikely hero). As a story ... it's a nice piece. As a factual autobiography ... there is no way to know the accuracy ... and quite honestly, this is completely a bias portrail of Stern as a "regular Joe" up against greedy big corporations.
The story in Private Parts is really out of date. His wife left him and remarried. He left commercial radio for satellite radio (to stop the FCC from fining his show). He is more powerful now than ever -- just the stuff movies are made of. Don't be surprised if we see a sequel to this movie.
Regardless, this is a good movie which stands on its own. Even if you are not a Stern fan, this one is difficult to resist.

Love or hate Howard, this is actually a really well done movie. The acting is excellent for the most part. In reality, this movie isn't as much about Howard's career as it is about his struggle to deal with the show and the impact it has on his realationship with his wife. The whole movie is basically a tribute to his wife and all of the issues she has to put up with in order to live with Howard and his unique brand of humour. I have followed Howard's career longer than most Canadians and I feel that some parts are exagerated, but overall, the movie is funny, thought provoking and at heart a romantic comedy. A great movie even for those that don't "get Howard".
