Yikes, this was not good. - filmgeek
Let me be honest: The only reason I watched this film was because I wanted to hear Gary Oldman's vocal work as the villain. I did not have high expectations about this film, and I was not let down...this film is not really good at all.
That being said, Mr. Oldman's performance leaves nothing to be desired (as usual) but I suspect that most viewers will not be watching a whole movie just to listen to one voice performance as I did. That being said, I cannot recommend this movie. It moves in fits and starts, the songs are neither catchy nor particularly well inserted into the narrative. The film plays fast and loose with the Arthurian legend, and the animation is kind of terrible.
Not Recommended.A great kids film with great music - Radio_Jane
The music makes this movie. Some of the most beautiful songs from animated pictures are in this movie. On top of that, Don Rickles and Eric Idle are hilarious as the two feuding dragon heads that must share one body. The vocal talent is stellar, Jane Seymour, Pierce Brosnan and Cary Elwes featured among others. Kids love it, but as an adult I find it a pleasant diversion as well.my boys loved it - Lori
my boys (5 and 7) loved this movie though they did comment that there were "bad guys" and "fighting" in it, which means it was a noticeable enough amount for them to even make comment on. They loved the fairy-taleness of the storyline though, and the cartoonization of knights, which they are fascinated with anyhow.
