Rain Man
Charlie Babbitt (Tom Cruise) has just discovered he has an autistic brother named Raymond (Dustin Hoffman) and is now taking him on the ride of his life. Or is it the other way around? From his refusal to drive on major highways to a four minutes to Wapner meltdown at an Oklahoma farmhouse, Raymond first pushes hot-headed Charlie to the limits of his patience and then pulls him completely out of his self-centered world! But what began as an unsentimental journey for the Babbitt brothers becomes much more than the distance between two places it's a connection between two vastly different people and a poignant, profound and powerful film.

I know this movie is from 1988, but I just haven't gotten around to see this (what a shame on my part, I know..)
I finally watched it recently and I was so happy I did!!
Tom Cruise is not overall the best actor out there (personal opinion), but I think he did really well in this one. He played the character really well and made me hate him! which i knw was the point :) He made me believe he was truly spoiled, uncaring, and increasingly irritable with his brother's behaviour/illness.
It was truly a tooching movie and it was breathtaking to see his chracter change towardes the end!
It's needless to say, Dustin Hoffman deserved his Oscar for this role, 100%m and any other awards he won. What a heart warming movie and performance!!Touching - KnitNicoleKnit
Cruise and Hoffman pair up for a wonderfully touching story.
Growing up knowing several people in the autism spectrum, Hoffman impresses with his ability to take on many characteristics of those with the disorder.
The film fits in with what happens in this decade as well, and can never be considered outdated.Great movie - Pumon
This movie is fantastic and worth watching a second or even a third time. Tom cruise manages to hold on as Dustin Hoffmann probably gives the performance of his career. Touching caring and wonderful this is a movie to watch in order to see what truly is the meaning of life and what makes a family
