I completely disagree - good movie - Ottawa_JP
My kids loved this movie. I won't get into whether or not it's better than the first. As a kids movie, it stands on it's own.
Hey, both my kids loved it and talked about it for days... and isn't that the whole point about these kids movies?
Nice to see a wholesome xmas movie that doesn't just hawk Barbies or Power Rangers. Not what you might expect. - JJ--
This sequel suffers the vices of so many others. It panders to the appearance of the original without the charm, or warmth.
Though the original was actually made to sell GE products, it stands the test of time. The original, a stop-motion film, is a testimony to that craft.
This sequel is animated with Maya computer animation package, which gives it a great 3-D look. Sadly it also represents how the right tools, can't overcome bad writing and direction.
Will Kids love it? Mine didn't make it to the 15 minute mark before wandering off.
