Rented this one for my 11 and 14 year old daughters as I percieved this movie to ba a "coming of age" theme. They didn't connect with this movie at all and I guess I goofed. Personally, the theme of a young teenage girl at her crossroads at a teen age with decisions that will affect her future is of not great interest to an aging boomer. Been there, done that. If you have teenage girls, or are looking at this flick while strolling down memory lane, it may make for good viewing. It didn't do anything at all for us.Classic '80s flick - eli_quincy
"Say Anything..." sparkles for a bunch of reasons, but I'll boil it down to two. First, there's Cameron Crowe's funny, insightful script and the believably fumbling teenagers that populate his unique world. And second, there's the absolutely winning performance from John Cusack as Lloyd Dobler, a lovesick fool who is absolutely impossible to dislike.CLASSIC!!! - xsnrg
Any movie I label a "CLASSIC" is a must see in my opinion...especially if you grew up in the 80's. This a one of those classic 80's movies that is on par with the John Hughes films of the same generation. Directed by Cameron Crowe and staring John Cusack this movie will make you laugh and make you cry. A must see!!!
