With a high profile Director suxh a Steven, you would expect a broader vision of WW II. 60,000,000 or so humans died during this war alone and more than 60% were civilians. An estimated 20,000,000 were Chinese. One death from unatural causes is one death too many and if Steven would have taken his vision to that higher ground it would have been impressive. Steven documents the suffering of his people and he does it very well in this Hollywood dramatization. It's a story as familiar as that of Santa Claus. Bravo for a well documented film on jewish suffering Steven.Top of the List! - ktravis
One of the most eye-opening movies of the century. the story of Schindler as compared to the indirect story of Goeth (as played by Ralph Fiennes, who also did an extraordinary job) in contrast was simply phenomenal. Hats off to the strenuous work Liam Neeson put into his character. To portray someone of such importance was a difficult job on it's own and i believe he nailed it. Even the hardest heart can shed a tear by the end of this movie (even if you never admit it). The music score was timeless. The added info text throughout the movie was needed to get a quick background to what was happening. all in all, i truly beleive that Steven Spielberg could not have done a better job.As inspiring as it ever was - Garv
I hadn't seen this movie in years, and as I watched it again I was just as heartbroken, just as terrified, just as attached to the characters, and just as inspired by Oskar Schindler's transformation as I was then. This movie should be viewed more often than every couple of years, as a reminder of what's really important and how one person can make a difference.
