Classic and haunting - anwallette
This movie depicts an accurate snapshot of 1950s anti-Semitism attitude. It is shocking to see what has changed in less than 50 years.
David Greene was recruited for football, but had to face persecution for his faith.
Dillon decides to reveal the fact that David is a Jew after finding out that "his girl" prefers David to him...and in true temper tantrum fashion accuses him of theft, academic dishonesty and attempt to ruin his friendships.
A true lesson for all involved - what is more important - a man's faith or his integrity?Excellent flick - Enyo
School Ties is an amazing look at anti-semetism in the 1950's. Brendan Frasier gave one of the strongest performances (if not *the* strongest performances) in his career to date.
Amy Locane as the sweet girlfriend and Matt Damon as the jealous classmate are excellent. Frasier's character wants to be successful and move ahead from his family's humble beginnings, but he is forced to question whether it's worth losing himself in order to get ahead. It's well-worth the view, especially if you thought that *your* high school career was bad.
