Sextette
The Sin-Sational Mae West
It's a musical comedy like no other when Timothy Dalton and Mae West wed, but put their honeymoon on hold while West saves the world. Chock full of stars, Sextette features Dom Deluise playing Marlo Manners' (West) personal manager, Ringo Starr as her fourth husband, George Hamilton her fifth, The Who's Keith Moon as Marlo's coiffeur, Tony Curtis as her Russian ex-lover, and Alice Cooper as a singing waiter who serenades Mae with "Next,Next" while seated at a mirrored piano. Other musical extravaganzas include Mae West's disco rendition of "Baby Face," and Dalton cooing "Love Will Keep Us Together" to his budding bride. This was legendary film actress Mae West's last film before her death on November 23, 1980.

The Most Frightening Movie I Have EVER SEEN.... - HouseOfGlib
Speaking as someone who was written and published a book on horror movies (SCARY MOVIES by AS MOTT--it's still available on Amazon) and regularly writes about them on his blog (take my screen name and add a .com to it) I can honestly say that this seventies musical terrified me more than any other movie I've seen.
Imagine a film in which a woman who was never that attractive to begin with (look at her old movies and tell me I'm wrong), but who is now 85 years old (and LOOKS it) is presented as the most sexually desirable woman on the planet and you are forced to watch as half-a-dozen talented actors are forced to pretend that they all lust after her.
You know the scene in HOSTEL where Jay Hernandez cut off that Japanese girl's eyeball that was hanging out of its socket? I watched that while I was eating and felt nothing, but the constant threat of octogenarian sexual innuendo that pervades this film kept me in a persistent state of nauseous distress.
I don't think it would have been so terrible if we were once allowed to believe that the filmmakers understood just how ridiculous the premise of this film actually was, but its played so straight that the film winds up feeling like a horribly cruel practical joke being played on a deluded old woman (imagine WINDY CITY HEAT with Norma Desmond as the stooge).
If you are a fan of extreme cinema, then I suppose this is something of a must see, but if you're not you're advised to AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The money you save on psychiatric bills will be worth the missing out.just a shame... - Vixxie
It is just a shame that a classic legend as Mae West should end her career with such a crappy movie. I found myself dozing off throughout the movie. I have seen alot of her movies to date, and I must say are pretty predictable and redundant, but this one was just bad.. maybe because the sarcasm and the jokes were just lame for this day and age.. the punch was not there. I would say, use your time watching one of her earlier movies instead.
